I couldn’t be more proud to be your granddaughter. You being in my life is one of the greatest gift God Has ever Given me. You are not only my papa you are also one of my best friends. I feel so lucky and blessed for every moment that I get to spend with you. I have so much fun just sitting there talking to you about any and everything. I admire you so much and respect you and who you are greatly. You mean so much to me and I’ll never be able to thank you enough for being who you are. Brad is the wonderful man he is because of you and I am so grateful for that.  You are our hero. You make us both better people and the world is so much greater because you were in it. I will always cherish my relationship with you and our friendship. Celebrating you on your birthday was one of my favorite things I’ve ever done. Everyone who gets the chance to meet you can’t help but love you and love being around you. I wanted to get as many of those people in one room as I could so we could all get a chance to let you know how much better life is because you were born. Thank you for loving me and everything you do for me. Our time together means everything to me. You are the greatest and smartest man I know and I am so blessed Brad, the boys and I are apart of your family. We will always try and make you proud that we are yours. I love you and miss you greatly. Not very many people are lucky enough to get to be friends with their Heros and it's something I will cherish forever.

My name is Theresa Brownlow, I have been friends with the Jett family since we joined Westlake Baptist Church several years ago. He always approached me by saying "hey girl".  I knew the battle was on, I am a Long Horn and He was an Aggie. I didn't hold that against him. We  would always talk about the basketball games, and he would always smile and say "you know your wrong hanging with those Long Horns. I loved how he loved life, the simple life. He is a big, broad, handsome man, like my husband.  What drew me to Mr. JETT,  he was an honest man, a man of integrity, most importantly he was a godly man. What you saw, was exactly who he was. I will miss that big smile and those silly grins in the foyer on Sunday Mornings. He and several of our men had their post that they held down every Sunday.  Weather it was just a smile, a grin, "how are The Brownlow's this morning," or a nice big hug, I enjoyed seeing him there holding up his corner of that church building. It may be bad on my part, but I never went to see him while he was ill, I want to keep my special memory of a large , strapping, gentleman in my mind, That's what he was to me, my godly mentor, someone I counted on always being there, never ever forgetting his large presence in mine and Ronny's lives and memories. To the family, your husband,  father, and granddad will truly be missed here on earth, we mourn with you all. We loved him, appreciated all that he did to make us smile, with his humor, and all that he did, that never went unnoticed at Westlake.  Most of all he will forever have our respect and we will forever have the memories God Blessed us with. May God be with each of you during this difficult time, Please look to the Father for every ounce of strength that you will be needing. Always remember Ronny and I are just a phone call away. One of the joys of Sunday mornings was to arrive early enough to have time to talk with Connie in the welcome center.  I have been missing him during his illness and will continue to do so.  If there is a welcome center in heaven,  he is sitting there in an arm chair greeting people as they enter!

I worked with Neta in Austin back in the eighties. I met Connie during this time. We all attended several happy hours and work functions. They were always one of my favorite couples, always laughing and having a great time. So sorry for Connie’s passing. My prayers are with Neta and the family.
