I doubt anyone checks these anymore but I still like to look at them everyday day. I loved my dad with all my heart and I still think about him everyday and about “what if I was on that motorcycle at the time”? Because that day was my 5th grade ceremony and he came to watch me, afterwards he asked if I wanted to come with him but my friend was waiting in the car so I said not this time but I’ll call you later. the last words I said were “I love you”.  So please tell your people you love them because you never know when it might be the last time 

Dave was a remarkable person. We shared so many laughs together because of his humor and I owe a great deal to Dave for his insight in mentoring me throughout my career on the slope by him providing wisdom and advice to make good choices in life. We worked together for many years and in that time I enjoyed his company as well when we went fishing together. There were also days when we would just have a quick moment to chat on the job and he shared some true heartfelt feelings of just how much he adored and loved his children and also how much he thought of them even when he was at work on the slope. He is truly missed and will be forever.

Dave took care of a lot of business as a mentor, leader, friend, and craftsman on the north slope.
He would always treat people with respect and was a very gentle boss.  There was this one time he was doing one of his foreman duties typing away (with two pointer fingers) and I offered to help by saying "You know, I used to do admin work and I'm pretty good at typing, I can do that for you..." Me being new to the trade and making my share of beginner mistakes, I was no ace at insulating pipe, so, naturally, he response was "how are you insulating pipe?" And I think he was a little sensitive about his typing skills.
Our whole crew enjoyed working for him and will miss him up here in Alaska.  My family knows all too well the sacrifices slopers make by being away from home, and Dave was in that same boat.  He was a part of our Alpine family and will forever be in our hearts.  He would share how much his kids meant to him and I will never forget that.   He always mentioned taking his daughter to kids' movies at the theater and I thought that was so cool.  Prayers for your family

I'll remember all his stories but miss the funny way he told them. Good memories. Rest in peace Dave Brown.

Dave's slope family will truly miss the calmness of his leadership, the constant of his grin, the integrity of his character.  ASRC Energy Services extends condolences to Dave's off slope family and slope family. Nobody else will fill his boots or extend such a kind soul.

Prayers and condolences to friends and family ...dave was a great friend, loving father and unique man...his warm smile pleasant demeanor and joyful personality will be sorely missed..heaven just got a lot more fun..love ya brother....

I will miss our talks our laughs and his gentle soul. No one had a heart larger then Dave's. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him. My family would like to send our deepest condolences to all of Dave's family and friends. Rest in Peace my Brother.

Dave was the epitome of a class act. He was a pleasure to be around and a joy to work with. His professionalism was always obvious. I extend my sincere condolences to his family.

LCMF Surveyors all thought of Dave as a brother.  He will be greatly missed.  Our condolences to all family members.

There is a big hole in our hearts at Alpine. Condolences to the Brown family. Dave talked so much about you all. Our thoughts are wth you. Your son, and father was an awesome  man. He will be missed.

I have not been able to process the fact that I will not be seeing Dave when he should be returning to work next week at Alpine.  Dave will be missed by many and I am just one of them. I will always hold a place in my heart for Dave's smile and twinkle in his eyes. Such a great loss.  This smile is for you Dave!

At times like this we are forced to pause and reflect upon our own lives and ask the important questions:
- Do I matter?
- Have I made a difference?
- Have I nurtured any true friendships?
- Will I be missed by those for whom I care?
To these questions Dave could certainly answer with a resounding, YES!

He lived his life so that when his children and those who loved him think of fairness, caring, and integrity, they can think of him and be thankful that he was part of their lives.

My life has a big, empty place in it that will never be filled in the way that Dave filled it. I am a better person for having known him.

Thanks for the memories Dave.

Alpine lost a wonderful person, friend and co-worker.  He will be greatly missed as he was loved and respected by all.
