Douglas was born and raised in Corpus Christi Texas. He attended Mary Carroll High School, where he was a drummer in marching band. This is also when he gave his life to the Lord his Junior year of high school.
He was a graduate of East Texas Baptist University where he studied Religion. He spent most of his career at Norit Americas. Throughout his life Doug always volunteered his time, skills and love for the Lord to help his church and others.
He is survived by his daughter, Taylor Reagan Lybrand (Josh), and his cherished grandchildren, Addison and Case. He also leaves behind his brothers, Obie W. Reagan, Jr., and Mark Reagan (Yolanda); his cousins, Chester Maples (Cheryl) and Cheri White (Mike); his nieces and nephews, Owen (Patricia), Myra, and John Mark (Karina); along with numerous other nieces, nephews, and extended family to include
Alexei and Elena Sleazin, who considered him a father, and their children, Katya and Dmitrii, whom Douglas thought of as his grandchildren.
Douglas was preceded in death by his beloved two sons, Tyson and Tucker; mother, Helen Reagan; his father, Obie Wright Reagan, Sr.; his Uncles, Chester Maples, Sr. (Irma) and Les Maples; his Aunt, Catherine Elder (Bill); and his Cousin, Ed Elder.
Douglas believed deeply in Jesus and was certain of eternal life with his Savior. He eagerly awaited the day he would reunite with his sons in heaven, as they left this earth far too soon. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate his reunion with them, as well as with his parents, other family members, and close friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, October 17, at 3 PM at Cypress Valley Bible Church in Marshall, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cypress Valley Bible Church.
