

Funeral services for Eleanor F. Goar, 80, of Tyler are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2012 at Lloyd James Funeral chapel with Rev. Rob Fisher officiating. There will be a brief graveside service in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery.
Mrs. Goar passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012 in Tyler.
She was born on October 2, 1931 in Redfield, South Dakota to the late Carl Oscar and Helen Frances Lunstrum. She married Gene Goar in Hobbs, New Mexico on September 17, 1960. She was a graduate of St. Luke’s Presentation School of Nursing in Aberdeen, South Dakota. As a registered nurse she worked in hospitals in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Hobbs, New Mexico and East Texas Medical Center in Tyler where she was for over 20 years. Her specialty was to work in the surgical department as both a scrub nurse and a circulating nurse. She dearly loved nursing and the people she worked with. She was a member of Pollard United Methodist Church, the Nurses’ Society and Al-Anon and TDAP.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Goar of Tyler; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Jeff Fuller of Leander, Texas; granddaughters, Alyssa and Ashlyn Fuller of Leander ; grandsons, Dillon Goar of Troup and Kevin Goar, and a brother and sister-in-law, Wes and Sally Lunstrum of Rapid City, South Dakota.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
