Funeral services for Elmer Joe Burns, Jr. 71, of Tyler are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Lloyd James Funeral Home Chapel with Brandon Henderson officiating. Burial is in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Elmer passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in Tyler.
He was born on January 29, 1944 in Tyler to the late Elmer J. and Ruby Jean Pitts Burns.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Burns, of Tyler; daughters, Becky Lynn Cline and husband George, of Ft. Worth and Lisa Ann Witcher and husband Steve, of Virginia; and son, Michael Henderson and wife Shary, of Ft. Worth; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, John Burns and wife Judy, of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Burns.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
