Funeral services for Emma Darlene Sampson, 85, of Ben Wheeler, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Lloyd James Funeral Home with Dr. Lanny Elmore officiating under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Burial is in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery.
Emma passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at her home.
She was born on August 19, 1928 in Oklahoma City, OK, to John A. and Dorothy Rose Samples Stout. She loved to read and shop. She loved her children, grandkids, great grandkids, and her dog “Spence”.
She is survived by three daughters, Vickie Sue Osborn and her husband, Robert of Ben Wheeler, Barbara Vike and her husband, Brad of Gresham, and Peggy Rozell of Tyler; grandchildren, Daniel Wilson, Darryl Wilson, Monica Denman, Ami Vike, Sherri Vike, Jennifer Holdman, and Christina Osborn; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Sampson; granddaughter, Jill Rozell; and three sisters and one brother.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Wilson, Darryl Wilson, Jason Holdman, Ryan McInturff, Jim Welsh and Jackie Woods.
