

H. Kenneth Turman went home to the Lord on February 17, 2016 after 86 wonderful years on earth, the last 65 of them with his beloved wife, Patricia, at his side. Ken, as he was known to his friends, was a man that loved God, his family, and friends. He worked since a teenager in the building industry, particularly the millwork aspect, at Sam R. Hill Lumber, Turman Millwork, and Tyler Wood Works. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldee and John Aubrey Turman, sisters-in-law Shirley Turman and Colleen Turman, and nephew John Hunter Turman.
Ken is survived by his wife; his children: Steve Turman and wife Maggie McQuown, Kathryn Turman, Keith Turman and wife Jaime; grandsons Seth (wife Christy), Micah (wife Abbe), and Zach (partner Brittany Faber); and two great granddaughters, Tully and Zanna. He is also survived by his brothers Bill, Marcus, and James; and sister-in-law Nancy, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Ken was a life-long resident of Tyler and served more than 40 years as a church elder, as well as a Gideon and Rotary Club member in the Tyler area. He touched many lives over many years.
