J. W. McClung Jr.

J.W. (Buster) McClung, Jr. passed away on June 12, 2017 at the age of 88. Funeral for Mr. McClung are scheduled 3 P.M., Thursday, June 15 in the chapel of Lloyd James Funeral with Brother Sherman Mayfield officiating. Burial will be in Cathedral in the Pines, Tyler.

He was born to the late J.W. McClung, Sr. and Dollie Mae Stegall in Tyler. Raised in Tyler and graduated from Tyler High School.

He worked in the family rose nursery business and at Trane located in Tyler.

Buster enjoyed being in the outdoors, whether he was working in the garden or woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Vera L. Harris of Henderson; son Michael McClung; and sister Elsie Mae Sexton.

He is survived by his daughters; Jeannie Evans of San Diego; Libby and her husband Danny Turner of Waco; and Rhonda Boaz of Tyler; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren He is also survived by his friend, Allie Fallwell of Tyler.

Buster was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and a friend to everyone he met. He was truly loved and will be missed.

The family will receive friends at 2 P.M., Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
