Joy Miller

It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Dena Joy (Beller) Miller, who left us on September 4, 2025, at the age of 81. She passed peacefully in Tyler, TX, with family at her side.

Born on December 19, 1943, in Stigler, OK. Joy dedicated her life to her family, her faith and serving others. A devoted mother, grandmother and friend that was rarely caught without a smile and always there to help others.

Joy was a lifelong follower of Christ. She committed to serving others through her work with Texas Mental Heatlh and Mental Retardation Centers for decades. She found immense joy in gardening and would never miss a garage sale. She enjoyed her years in Oregon and California before returning to Oklahoma in the 1980's. One of her favorite places was the beach, listening to the waves crash and soaking up the sun. She will be remembered for her generous spirit and warm heart that touched the lives of many who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Scott Willis, Brandy Miller and Clint Miller; her grandchildren, Moriah, Rebekah, Benjamin, Willow, Hannah and Jackson; several great grandchildren and her nephews Chris and Jon Beller. She was preceded in death by her parents, Trois Beller and Berndena (Kuykendall) Bryant, her husband, Bob Barnett and her brother, Ronald Beller.

A celebration of Joy’s life will be held on Friday, September 12th at 10:00 a.m. at Lloyd James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Priddy officiating. She will be laid to rest on Saturday at the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Culbert, Oklahoma.
