Lee was raised in Pleasant Grove, Utah where he attended school and was raised in the Church of Latter Day Saints. He served four years in the US Air Force and was stationed in Texas where he remained the rest of his life. He worked over 19 years at Carrier AC Plant in Tyler. He considered himself a Texan.
Lee is survived by his wife of 22 years, Judy Lockridge Edwards, son Lester Edwards of Kansas and 2 daughters, Michelle Ratcliffe (Clint) and Crystal Edwards of Colorado, 3 stepchildren, Rodney Brundage (Teresa), Kimberly Pyers (Ricky) of Henderson, Texas and Delonda Papaianni of Arizona, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services for Lee will be Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 10 am at Lloyd James Funeral Home with Gary Willis officiating. Burial will be at Cathedral in the Pines in Tyler, Texas.
