

Graveside services for Mary Mitchum Ray, 92, of Whitehouse, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 26, 2015, in Whitehouse Cemetery with Chaplain Emanuel Ward officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at 9:30 A.M., prior to the service.
Mary passed away to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, in Troup.
She was born on July 25, 1923 in Troup to the late James Earl Mitchum and Fanny Aileen Hedricks Mitchum. She lived her life in Whitehouse.
Mary was a housewife and worked at Skillerns Drug in the Green Acres Shopping Center for 23 years. She was a member of The Church of Christ.
She is survived by son, Timothy Ray and wife Judy, of Whitehouse; daughter, Sandra Hays and husband Robert, of Troup; daughter-in-law, Brenda Ray, of Whitehouse; grandchildren, Ricky Ray, Kim Quintro, Tammy Bryant, and Robert Hays, Jr., all of Whitehouse, and Penny Coker and Julie Lee, of Troup; 14 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband J. R. Ray; son, Freddie Ray; granddaughter, Michelle Ray; brothers, Eston and Tommy Mitchum; sisters, Eva Terry, Berti Mae Ray and Edna Dudley.
The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for their care of our mother.
