

Mary was born on March 25, 1933, in Cairo, Illinois, to Earl and Ruby (Shearin) Johnson. Mary worked alongside her husband, David, in establishing their business, AgroPlus, Inc. in Hawkins, Texas. Mary and David were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mary enjoyed playing mahjong, oil painting, crocheting and reading. Mary’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Ruby Johnson, husband David George Zimmerman, and daughter Bette Zimmerman Allstadt. She is survived by daughter Kathryn Zimmerman; son David G. Zimmerman, Jr. and wife Heather; grandchildren Brian Rowell, wife Leah and sons Zack and Seth; Kelly Paul, wife BreAnne and son, Max; Kristin Miller, husband Tad and daughters Josephine and Adelaide; Joshua Townsend, Michael Zimmerman, and Jack Zimmerman; sister Jane Landis and husband Bob; nephews George Landis, wife Jane and sons Paul, Patrick and George, Jr. also known as Geo; Jim Landis, wife Larke, their son, Carter, and daughter, Catherine; great-great nephew, William, and great-great niece, Julia.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 26th. The family will receive visitors from 6:30-8:00 PM at Lloyd James Funeral Home, 1011 East First Street, Tyler, TX.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 1:30 PM at Lloyd James Funeral Home with Mark Petersen officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery and she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, David.
