

A memorial service for Mrs. Marable is scheduled for March 25, at 1:30pm at Lloyd James Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Edward Dodson, Clarksville, officiating.
She was born in Clarksville, Texas, on February 7, 1924, to Albert and Lela Wooley. She graduated from Clarksville High School in 1941 with various honors, and from Texas Woman’s University in May, 1945. She was president of National Collegiate Players, appeared in numerous theatrical productions, and received the prestigious Leman Memorial Award for drama. After graduation she toured with Interstate Players.
She married her high school sweetheart Allen Marable of Clarksville in 1946. They established permanent residence in Tyler in 1954. She appeared on KLTV in its early days as an interviewer of prominent people visiting Tyler. She performed in leading and supporting roles at the Tyler Civic Theatre.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Lela May Beadle, Lucille Hohmann, Christine Robison, and Dorothy Wooley.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 64 years, Allen Marable; daughters Cathy Marable of Clarendon, Marilyn Findley and husband, Ken of Seabrook, Amy McBride and husband, Michael of Buda; dear grandchildren Jeffrey Findley and Jennifer Findley of Austin, and Jonathan Findley of Seabrook; and many nieces and nephews.
