Nancy Christine Norris

Graveside services for Christine Norris, 96, of Chapel Hill, are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Thursday, June 11, 2015, in Williams Cemetery with Rev. Mike Ford officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.

Christine passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015, in Bedford.

She was born on July 29, 1918 in Martins Mill to the late George W. and Hattie Hobbs Stringer.

Christine was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for many years. She was a resident of Chapel Hill for 61 years. She loved to quilt and had also worked as a seamstress.

She is survived by her son, John Norris and his wife Sandra, of Irving; three grandchildren, Jennifer McDonald and her husband Terry, of Wichita Falls; Christopher Norris and his wife Jenny, of Irving, and Jessica Pena and her husband Rick, of Mesquite; six great-grandchildren, Ben Norris, Ricky Pena, Kayla Norris, Elisabeth McDonald, Aleck Pena, and Will McDonald.

In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Martin Taylor Norris, and her daughter, Nancy Jefferson.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M., Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
