Patsy W. James

Mrs. James was born February 14, 1931 in Austin, Texas and passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 in Tyler. She graduated from Jacksonville Texas High School, attended S.M.U. in Dallas and graduated from the University of Houston.

She resided in Houston and Dallas for 40 years before returning to Tyler in 1996. Preceding Mrs. James in death were her husband, Phil James; her mother, Mrs. Vergy Dukes of Tyler; a sister, Mrs. Jean Boucher of Tyler; a brother, Jerry Wiseman of Tennessee and her father, Pat Wiseman of Austin.

She is survived by a cousin, Mary Ann Ulan and her husband, Mike of Tyler; a sister-in-law, Wilma Wiseman of Tennessee and her devoted friends, Kathy and Pat Singleton of Tyler.

Mrs. James was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and the John Child’s Friendship Class. She had volunteered at the Good Samaritan Clothes Closet since 2001.

She formerly had been a volunteer at the Hospice of East Texas. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to a Charity of your choice in her name.
