Peggy was born on November 11, 1944, in Texas City, Texas to Uliss Terry and Audie Wright Terry. She graduated from Alba Golden and Tyler Junior College. Peggy worked as an LVN until she retired at the age of 62.
She loved her many farm animals and plants. She spent much of her time watching her squirrels and birds play. She was one of the founding mothers of God’s Promise Restoration Center in Kilgore, TX. Better known as Mom Peg locally and in ministries around the world.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Linda Keener and husband Tod of Kilgore, Texas; son, Timothy Young and wife Shelley of Arp, Texas; son, Russell Young and wife Victoria of Tyler, Texas; 5 sisters and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thurston “Jeff” Young; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lloyd James Funeral Home, located at 1011 East First Street, Tyler, Texas, 75701-3308, on January 10, 2026, 11:00 am.
