Terry Jack Braswell

Born on January 7, 1970, in Tyler, Terry was known for his kind heart, his lifelong commitment to his family and friends, and his selflessness. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he served his country with honor. Terry was a partner in his family’s commercial paint company, Braswell Paint Company. Terry’s hobbies included doing anything that included his friends and family but most importantly traveling with the love of his life, Lauren. He never met a stranger. Once he met you, he had your back forever.

Terry is survived by his devoted friend of 20 years, Lauren and wife for 5 years; his fur babies, Huxley and Tanner; his mother, Judy Byrd; his father, Kenneth Braswell, and wife Nancy; one sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Matt Nelson, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bryan and Suzzette Braswell, John and Charlotte Braswell; parents-in-law, Robby and Pam Ellerd; and one sister-in-law, Sarah Ellerd; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends that he called family. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ralph Byrd; and grandparents, JM and Mink King and Alton and Beatrice Braswell.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be held on February 18, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Lloyd James Funeral Home.

Terry’s compassion, selflessness, and dedication to his friends and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, and his memory will forever be cherished by those he touched throughout his remarkable life.
