Elba Ortiz Irizarry 76, of Hoboken, passed away on Tuesday 4/30/13. She was born and lived her life in Puerto Rico moving to Hoboken a few months ago. Elba was a Registered Nurse, graduating nursing school in 1960. She became an Obstetrics nurse in 1964 and served as a registered mid-wife in Puerto Rico for many years. She was loved by her neighbors and friends for the care she showed to all that needed her.
Elba was the beloved sister of Maria Nelly Ortiz, Martin Ortiz and the late Wilfredo Ortiz. She was also the loving aunt of Jeanette Toro and Lillian Luis. Private services were held on Thursday 5/2/13.
