Jose A Rodriguez

José A. Rodriguez, 93, of North Bergen, N.J. passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. He was born in Cuba on May 28, 1931 to the late Manuel and Amalia Rodriguez. José lived in Cuba until moving to the United States in 1955. He lived in New York City and moved to North Bergen in 1972.

José worked for the Bernstein Fur Company in New York City until his retirement. He was a beloved member of our community who was dedicated to serving others through his work in the church.

José is survived by his loving children, Maria and her husband, Joseph, Iliana and her husband, Francescantonio, José and his wife, Oneida, and Miriam. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren, Mia, Francesca, Gaetano, Karissa, Katrina, Katia, Carlo, and Nicola. José is also survived by three cherished great grandchildren, Scarlette Winter, Viggo Wulfric, and Cosimo Amato. He was also survived by his dear brother of Manuel Rodriguez.

José’s life celebration will include a visitation on Sunday, August 25th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Boulevard, Union City, New Jersey, 07087.

The funeral will be on Monday, August 26th, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home then to St. Joseph and Michael Church 1314 Central Ave Union City, NJ where at 11:30am the funeral mass will be offered. José will be laid to rest at Weehawken Cemetery, 4000 Bergen Turnpike, North Bergen, New Jersey 07047.
