Louis Alexander Girone

Louis Girone, devoted husband of the late Anna Girone, dear father of Ann Louise Capuano, Maria Vazquez, and Rev. Joseph Girone; was called home by our Heavenly Father on October 7th, 2022. Loving grandfather to David Vazquez; Matthew and Louis Capuano; father-in-law to David Vazquez and the late Louis Capuano. Louis was born in Hoboken, NJ on Sept 5, 1918 to Giuseppe and Giuseppina Girone. He worked 20 years as a longshoreman in Hoboken and Port Newark, previously working in the fireworks industry. Louis resided in Union City, and previously in Hoboken, West New York and Little Ferry. God blessed him with 104 years of life.

Louis' life celebration will include visiting on Monday, October 10, 2022, from 4 till 8 pm, at the Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd., Union City, NJ. A funeral mass will be offered on Monday, October 11 at St. Joseph of the Palisade Church, West New York at 11am. Family and friends may begin arriving at the funeral home at 10 am before the service. Louis will be interred with his wife Anna at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ
