Maria was one of five courageous sisters. Maria's memory will live on through her eldest son Emanuel Villegas and her two daughters Maria Villegas-Laboy and Rocio D Kiernan. As well as her six grandchildren.
Those who knew Maria will remember her for her strength in the face of adversity, sense of humor and wit, but most of all her affection. With a kind word or a quickly prepared meal she could quench your hunger and soothe your soul.
