Santiago Diaz Jr.

Santiago was born on March 8th, 1954 to Santiago"Chago" Diaz Sr and Aida "Lucy" Diaz in Harlem, New York. After graduating from Seward Park High School, Santiago attended John Jay Community College. After college, he became chief housing Inspector in West New Yorkwhere he cultivated many friendships and loved helping his community.

Santiago grew up in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and loved the hustle and bustle of city life. In his early years, he loved dancing salsa. In his later years, his hobbies included dominos and visiting the casinos. He loved group activities he could enjoy with friends and family. He was a light in any room he entered. Anyone who knew Santiago knew that he was the most loving son, father, grandfather and brother a family could ask for; they will miss him dearly.

Santiago is predeceased by his mother, Aida. He is survived by his father Santiago Sr, children Amanda, Edwin, Rebecca & Krystal, his sister Zoraida and grand children Isaiah, Omari, Sy, Ja' monii, Brooklynn, Justin and Josiah.

There will be a memorial service in the weeks to come, an announcement will be made to friends and family.
