We are saddened to hear of the loss of Mr. Tony. He was a huge influence on my daughter's life. She started staying with Mrs. Emily and Mr. Tony when she was 2 months old and was with them until she was 3. He always made her laugh, taught her Spanish, and was a great role model for her in her early years. We will ever be grateful for his presence in her life. May he rest in internal happiness. Until we meet again. 

I am an ex-student. I took one class with him on small engines. I really liked him. He was helping my regular teacher. He was there all the time. What dedication. I think he is the only one I know who started when ACC just started. A big loss. RIP.

While I had never physically met your beloved Tony; only knew of him and spoke once with him……I will never forget his kindness towards me and at the time my 5 year old daughter.  I don’t know how he knew, only that he reached out.
The story… in 2013 my then 5year old daughter had been diagnosed with Stage 3 neuroblastoma. Tony reached out to me, offering me any assistance I might need with my vehicle.  It was a kind gesture from a person who didn’t even know me at an overwhelming time in our life. While I never took him up on his offer, it was thoughtful beyond words.  In that moment he showed his character, a man of kindness, empathy and integrity.
I am certain that I am not the only person Tony reached out to during his time at ACC.  May you find comfort and peace knowing that he touched people in a positive way.

My family is blessed to have known Mr. Hernandez and his family for years. Being a child of an ACC Automotive Instructor was never a dull moment. I can remember spending hours waiting, as my father "Chuck" and Tony would discuss the future of ACC's Automotive program. As a kid summer time was the best, I have several fond memories of camping and boating at the lake with Tony and his family. I am blessed to know Tony and his family, our hearts and prayers are with the family. ~Estrada Family 

Tony loved ACC and enjoyed teaching. He touched the lives of many.

What a kind and gentle soul. I met Tony in 1996 when I took over as Dean of Workforce . He was department chair of Automotive. It was obvious from the beginning that he loved his job and loved teaching kids about cars. He was always so protective of his faculty and staff and let me know for sure that he was there to help them be successful. We both shared a common bond of loving to camp in our RV's. especially, when we had a grandkid along to share the fun. We spent many hours visiting about places to camp.
Tony is going to be missed by many. His infectious laugh and smile will always remain in my memory.

So sorry for your loss of your husband I don’t know think you remember me but you used to baby sit me when I was little when I was going to Live Oak Your friend Diedre
