Barbara Wayne O'Neal

On May 2nd, 2024, Barbara Wayne O’Neal passed peacefully surrounded by her family. In the days before, there was joy on her face when she spoke of seeing Jesus and the reunion of family members who have gone before her.

Barbara was known for her passion for tennis and her ability to love and touch the lives of those who knew her. She loved her GOD, her family and her church and will be dearly missed. Her family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life and not the sadness of her passing.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 38 years, JD O’Neal; her children Sherrie Arnold, Lori Heltzel, Craig Langham, Steve O’Neal, Jimmy O’Neal, Greg O’Neal and Danny O’Neal; her grandchildren Morgan Cooper, Regan Ondrak, Jordan Cooper, Randall Bowling, Dylan Kelley, Courtney O’Neal, DJ O’Neal, Zachary Langham and Hannah O’Neal; and great grandchildren Makayla Cooper, Amaryah Samuels, Brooklyn Cooper, Gaven Dice, Kye Mattson, Jordan Cooper, Jr., Autumn Ondrak, Emma Bowling, Lyncoln Ondrak, Sterling Kelley, Jett Hyde, Bristle Daniels, Lily Leatherwood, Oliver Leatherwood, River Langham, Marion Samuels, and Freya Bowling. Barbara is also survived by her sisters Ann Morton and Kay Blue and their children and grandchildren.

The family is having a Celebration of Life on May 11, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Odessa Bible Church in Odessa, Texas. If you can’t join us in person a virtual option will be available on Odessa Bible Church’s Facebook page.
