

The Visitation and Rosary will be held on May 5th at Colonial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7pm and Rosary to follow. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on May 6th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Selma. Father Eric will be officiating.
Brian was born in San Antonio on October 24, 1955. He graduated from Judson High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science from West Texas A&M University.
Brian was married to Denise Elbel on November 10, 1979; they were married 36 years.
Brian worked for the City of Live Oak for a total of 34 years, where he retired as Fire Chief in 2006. He was a family man and enjoyed keeping up with projects around the house and loved watching NASCAR.
Brian is survived by his wife Denise Elbel, daughter Lisa Rose, daughter Jenny Parker and husband Stevan, son Nicholas Elbel and wife Liz, five grandchildren, Brother Dwight Elbel and wife Marie, sister Terry Mueller and husband Henry, sister Julie Yocham and husband Steve, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family is asking for all guests to wear a pop of maroon to the funeral in honor or Brian’s Alma Mater, Texas A&M. Flowers may be sent to Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, Texas 78148.
