She arrived in Texas after many moves as a military wife. Shortly after moving to San Antonio, she began her job at Kitty Hawk Jr. High. She retired from there 22 years later. Carol enjoyed working with all of the students and made many lifelong friendships with her coworkers.
She was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, caring friend who will be missed dearly.
Carol is survived by her 2 daughters and spouses, Tracy and John Obadal, Jennifer and Dustin Cross; and her two granddaughters, Chloe and Quinn Cross. She is also survived by many friends who loved her like family.
An informal memorial service will be held for her at Colonial Funeral Home in Universal City, Tx on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, her family has requested donations be made in Carol’s name to Boysville (www.boysvilletexas.org) or Cancer Therapy and Research Center (www.ctrc.net).
