Carole Gay Hendrix passed away peacefully in her home in Zuehl, Texas on July 10, 2020. She was born on August 24, 1940 to parents Altha Satterfield and Joseph Love in Mount Pleasant, TN. Carole graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in Mount Pleasant, TN. She met and later married her high school sweetheart, Bethel “Poodle” Hendrix. They were married on May 5, 1958.
Carole followed Bethel all over the world as a Air Force military wife. She lived in Okinawa, Germany, Crete (Greece), Alaska, and numerous places in the states. After retirement from the Air Force, Carole and Bethel loved going to flea markets and collecting all kinds of antiques, collectibles, and pottery. Carole especially loved old postcards, anything with bunnies, and crocks. She is survived by her 5 children Brian, Johnny, Kathryn, Andy, and Bud. Carole was the last living sibling of 13 brothers and sisters.
Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery along side her husband.
