Born on July 1, 1940, in Selma, Texas, Castul was the cherished son of Francisco Ayala and Anita Ayala. He was one of ten children and a graduate of Schertz-Cibolo High School in 1960.
Castul was a man of remarkable character, guided by a profound faith in God. His strength of spirit and unwavering belief served as a beacon of light to all who knew him. Throughout his life, he embodied the principles of compassion, kindness, and forgiveness, reflecting the teachings of his faith in every aspect of his being.
Hardworking and dedicated, Castul served his country with honor as a member of the United States Army Reserve, demonstrating his commitment to service and patriotism. He approached each day with courage and resilience, trusting in the guidance of his faith to lead him through life's challenges.
On July 19, 1975, Castul embarked on a lifelong journey of love and companionship when he married the love of his life, Juanita M. Ayala. Together, they shared countless joys and triumphs, building a foundation of love, respect, and unwavering support rooted in their shared faith.
Above all, Castul was a devoted family man, whose love and devotion to his family were a testament to the strength of his faith. He cherished every moment spent with his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren, nurturing their spiritual growth and instilling in them the values of love, compassion, and forgiveness.
In addition to his dedication to family and service, Castul was known for his giving nature and his willingness to help others in need. His acts of kindness and generosity were a reflection of his deep-rooted faith, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Castul is survived by his loving wife, Juanita M. Ayala, his children Sergio Ayala and Denise Myers, his grandchildren Avery Ayala, Adalyn Ayala, Athan Ayala, and Cora Myers, and his surviving siblings Reyna Quiroga and Maria Ayala. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Susan Ayala and son-in-law Justin Myers.
Their bond of family and love, strengthened by their shared faith, will continue to be a source of strength and comfort in the days ahead.
**A funeral service to celebrate Castul's life will be held on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024, 5:00PM-8:00PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148.
**Church service will follow on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Monica's Catholic Church, 501 North St, Converse, Texas 78109, with lunch to follow in the church hall.
