The world became a little less bright on March 13, 2026, when Christina Marie Otero, known affectionately as "Chrissy" or "Tina," passed away in Greenville, South Carolina. Born on April 17, 1998, in San Antonio, Texas, Christina lived a life defined by her resilient spirit and a creative heart that found beauty in the smallest details.
Christina was a survivor and a true free spirit who grew up in the San Antonio and Huntsville areas. She was a woman of many passions—she could often be found skating, sketching, or meticulously journaling her thoughts. Her home was a sanctuary for her beloved pets, her thriving plants, and her carefully curated collection of knick-knacks and all things Miffy. To those who knew her, she was a woman of incredible strength and a gentle soul who cherished her friends and found peace by the water.
Christina was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Celaya, and by Raymond F. Celaya.
Christina’s legacy of love lives on through her fiancé, Daniel Ordoñez of Virginia/South Carolina; her sister, Lauren Celaya; and her two cherished nieces, Dahlia Ray and Jericho Phoenyx of Texas. She also leaves behind numerous cousins in the San Antonio and Houston areas who will miss her vibrant light.
Family and friends are invited to honor Christina’s life at the following service in Texas: A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00pm-2:00pm Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Rd., Universal City, Texas 78148
