Constance Marie Petersen

Constance “Connie” Marie Petersen, of Selma,TX, went to be with the angels on September 4, 2025 at the age of 72. She was born on February 3, 1953 in Chicago, IL to Emil and Ann Strezo. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, sister Judy, and her husband George; survived by her son Scott Stefick and daughter in law Laura; granddaughter Julia; stepdaughter, Maryann and family; stepson, David and family; Sisters, Diane and Anita; Brother, Danny; and many nieces and nephews.

Connie spent most of her life as a hairdresser but switched careers to drive a school bus later in life. She loved the friendships she made with both careers, and loved seeing the kids on the bus every day. Born and raised in Chicago, Connie moved to Texas to be closer to her son, but she remained a true Chicago girl. Connie was a spiritual person, who loved her angels, horses, moon, affirmations, friends, family, and cats. She loved and enjoyed making jewelry, painting, and cooking. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, and will always be with us as a guardian angel.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 11 A.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. A celebration of life to follow at a later date.
