Daisy Barbee passed away on April 22nd, 2016 at the age of 91. She was born on August 25th, 1924 in Savannah, Georgia to John and Alva (Johnson) Edmondson. She was a dental receptionist for Dr. Donald R. Smidt in Universal City, Texas for more than twenty years. She was also an active member of the First Baptist Church of Universal City. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Freddie A. Barbee; brother, John Edmondson (Bootsie); and sister, Doris McKendree. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Barbee; brother, Michael Edmondson and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 beginning at 9:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Universal City, 1401 Pat Booker Rd, Universal City. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Go Outreach Ministry at the First Baptist Church of Universal City, a program that feeds the residents of Universal City each Tuesday night. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah, Georgia.
