With a very heavy heart....... I looked up to you, Niño. Wish I had told you, but I'm certain you're seeing everything now. As the older brother of my dear Bing and Mary -- you felt like a big bro to so many of us. The first time I saw you in Aukamm on a slow stroll with headphones, I knew you were my kind. Rarely saw you without them. A music head (like myself). I admired your quiet confidence, and when we passed one another in the hallways of H.H. Arnold high school, you always said whatup -- with a slight smile. To me, you embodied strength and peace. I will always remember you this way. Serwah and I can't stop talking about you. I am assured by faith that you will live eternally in peace. And with your Heavenly Wings, may you bring peace to your beautiful mother, father, sisters, nephew, niece, in-laws, cousins, aunties, uncles, comrades, and countless more loved ones. We love you, Niño.

My man, all those nights patrolling, Barksdale hot as can be. We probably lost 20 pounds a month doing nothing but roasting in them cars..  I wish you could see the smile on my face as I think about them terribly fun days.

I was thinking of you a few days before I learned the news of your passing. I was thinking of the last time we talked... I was in LA and sitting in my car. We talked and laughed, and I shared the news with you that I was going to be a mom! I'm so sad that I didn't take the time to call you when your name popped into my thoughts recently. I am glad, though, that the last time we did talk on the phone I was able to tell you that I've missed you and that I love you, friend. I am so blessed to call you friend and I will look forward to the day we will see each other again. God bless and may you rest in peace, Niño. Sending so much love and prayers to the Montes family and everyone was blessed to know and be loved by him.

It's taken me some time to figure out what I want to say and honestly, I'm still processing this news. I'm so glad I got to spend time with you, Niño, and that I have beautiful memories to hold on to. Our time together in Georgia wasn't that long, but it was full of fun! From hanging out with you and your sisters at our sleepovers, sharing music on your Walkman (that only needed one battery!), going on walks around the neighborhood, you knocking on my window when you wanted to hang out, giving me brotherly advice, treating me like I was a bonus sister... the list goes on. After your family moved from GA to Germany, it made me so happy to learn that you guys met my cousins, Kuya Mark and Jenn! This brought me joy because I knew  it meant my cousins and your family would also become close. I knew you guys would click because if I loved you, it was automatic that they would love you! All of the letters that we wrote, they kept our connection strong. It didn't surprise me that you kept all the letters your friends wrote over the years...

It has taken me a while to put into words what I want to say. The Montes and DeCambra family have been so kind and loving to mine over the years. From Birthday celebrations, Christenings, graduation milestones, and Christmas gatherings to name a few, we witness first-hand how they all love and care for each other. Niño will truly be missed not only by his immediate family, but also by those of us lucky enough to have spent time near them and him.  Read this somewhere and then I understood “Grief is just love with no place to go.” May Niño rest in light and find eternal peace. With much love to Ms. Edna, Mr. Dan, Veronica, Jimmy, MaryAnn, Jeff, Maliyah and Jayson - The Rodriguez Family (Juan, Tamara & Naomi).

My condolences to the family.  Nino is definitely someone I will never forget... my "half-bday twin". It was an honor serving with him multiple times... My brother for real. I am so very blessed to have know Danilo. When I  got to Langley and was clueless, he looked out for me like a brother. Honest, kind, and always true to himself. We had so much fun together. Even though its been some time since we last spoken he was one of the truest friends I have ever had, and holds a special place in my heart. I'll always love, celebrate, and miss him. My condolences to the Montes family.

I tried not to think about it, not acknowledge it, as if maybe it would go away. There's no way around it, we all lost a real one. I'm sad to know you've passed but happier you're in a greater place. Man, it's always a hard time when someone passes on but this is one that carries a real punch.   I will always remember Montes as a great guy.  I wasn't one of his best friends nor did I hang out with him at Langley ( I was married and didn't work flight), but had a few moments with him, talking about the squadron and life in general.  Although I was older than him, I still looked up to him.  He had a great demeanor and will be greatly missed.   My condolences to his family and friends, may God bring  us all comfort and growth during this sad time.

My deepest condolences to the Montes family . I never met Niño but I’ve known the family for a long time . Bing shared memories of her beloved brother and always spoke highly of him. I can’t imagine the pain to lose a son, a brother , a cousin , a friend but I’m praying for the family to find comfort through the power of prayer and each other. May he rest in peace .

Man, this one stings. It’s been forever since we had spoken, but back in the Barksdale days, we worked together every night. My deepest sympathies to the family, and here’s a photo that most haven’t seen, from when we met Rob Schneider on Barksdale.

One of the best people I have had the pleasure of serving with at Langley.  I always remember going to IHOP and getting the latest dvd or games that came out after shift at Walmart..  My deepest condolences to your family.

This one is tough one to swallow. My brother in arms started back in 2000 in the dorms of Tunnel Hall at Langley AFB. I’m at a complete loss for words. To the family just know he was loved by many. #RIP Bro we have the watch from here!!!🙏🏽✝️🕊️🙏🏽✝️🕊️🫡

My prayers go out to his family. He was my brother. Not just in arms. When we first met we instantly became great friends. Our convos this year and before will never be forgotten nor will the words he spoke fall on silent ears. I love you bro!

With 🥺😢Sadness, Niño was definitely a one of a kind person. He will be greatly missed. We had great times in Weisbaden, Germany. Niño taught me a lot in those days. He didn't know how much I appreciated him during that time.

All of my memories of Niño are filled with laughter and happiness. I remember his smile the most. Sending my sincere condolences to the entire family. Wishing you comfort and peace in the memories during this difficult time.

Our condolences to the whole family specially to uncle Dan and auntie. I don't have a photo to share but I remember meeting him before (way back 90's) which I can't forget was that, his being kind hearted cousin, expressing his love and great appreciation to his family in the Philippines. Rest in eternal peace kuya Niño.

My best memory of Nino was one night we were all hanging out. I just came from accidently dying my short pixie hair cut bright orange, when it was supposed to be a strawberry blonde. We were all sitting around super quiet watching a movie, and out of nowhere Nino says, "Aye Toni, do you know what you are reminding me of with that hair?" I said, "No, what?" He burst out, "A lit Newport!" When I say the whole room went bananas in laughter!!! I laughed til I cried tears!!! I still think about that to this day. You said very little, but always gave the biggest support on the sidelines as we did adulting. You will be missed my dude! To the Montes family, I send my deepest condolences and prayers. Warriors 4 lyfe!!!!

Nino,  I am so heartbroken you are no longer physically here with us, but I am
finding comfort knowing you are at peace. You were just a text away and Always responded and  always made a point to say Love you! You are so missed and so loved by us all and will always be in our heart.
