SGM David Cantu, Jr., U.S. Army, Retired passed away on September 17, 2016. He was born on February 24, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas to David Cantu, Sr. and Maria (Reyes) Cantu. He served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. SGM Cantu is preceded by his parents, his loving wife Velma, his son David Cantu, and his sister Tina Lozano. He is survived by his children Patricia Tregre (Chuck), Linda J. Haffner (Philip), and Tina McIntyre; grandchildren Matthew Housley, Rick Housley, Jacquelyn Housley, Paulina Dominguez, and Cindy Tiessonniere; great-grandchildren Morgan Housely, Chase Dominquez, Ethan Dominguez, Alex Dominguez, Gabriel Foltz, Maximus Foltz, and Elliana Housely; his sister Ruth Leal; nieces Judith Ann, Gloria Jean (Ray); nephews David Leal and Freddie Lozano. A visitation will be held at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Colonial Funeral Home on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston national Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Please sign the guestbook at www.colonialuniversal.com
