Douglas Houston Craig went to be with the Lord on Jan. 2, 2012, at the age of 78. Douglas was born in Caldwell County, N.C., on Aug. 8, 1933, to Douglas and Maggie Craig. Survivors of Mr. Craig include his wife of 36 years, Jacqueline Rae Craig; children, David Henry Craig, Lois Elaine Craig, Laura Jayne Pereyda and Paul Matthew Britz; seven grandchildren; brother, Howard Craig (Glenda); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ray Haywood Craig. A visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, from 5 to 9 p.m. with a memorial service to start at 7 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will be held Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association .
