

Ed retired from USAF in 1976, he then went to UTHSC where a lot of his fellow workers went. He retired from there in 1993. He loved traveling in his RV and loved to gamble, fish, and hunt. His daughter, Joy, remembers how much he loved his gambling trips to Kickapoo every month with Mark and Barbara.
He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, and four sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Joyce; daughter, Joy L. Smith and son-in-law John Smith; four grandchildren, John (Sonia), Sharaine, Vince (Adriana) and Casey (Rachel); and his nine great-grandchildren, Katlyn, Hunter, Sam, Adrian, Elisa, Vanessa, Joshua, Christian and Kyle.
Special thanks to Frank Tejeda VA Home, the personnel, especially the nursing staff in the Memory Care Unit where he was treated with such respect and honor.

A committal service with Military Honors will be held at Shelter #3 from 10:30a.m.-11:00a.m. Friday, June 30, 2023 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78209
