Ellen was born on June 4, 1932 in Salt Gap, TX, to William and Viola Foster. She graduated from Borger High School in May 1950. Ellen loved reading and embroidery. Ellen will forever be remembered as a wonderful and loving mother, wife and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by; her husband of 60 years, Ernest P. Ricketts, brother, Norman Foster, sister, Deloris Buntin, granddaughter, Cheryl Johnson, and son-n-law, Donald Ray Romans.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory; a son, Ernest Dale Ricketts, daughter, Lora Ellen Romans, brother, Charles Garry Foster, Grandchildren, Daniel Ricketts, Michael Ricketts, and Christina Marie Collins, great grandchildren, Kylee Collins, Tristan Ricketts, Jake Ricketts, and Ariel Denson.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that expressions of sympathy be made by donation to Shriners Hospitals for Children and St. Jude Children's Hospital.
A visitation for Ellen will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A celebration of life will occur Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A committal service will occur Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 1:15 PM to 2:00 PM at Archdiocese of San Antonio -Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78266.
