

Elmer D. Hall, known by most as Tug, passed away on February 6, 2016, in Wylie, Texas. He is preceded in death by his loving wife and best friend, Marion Farley Hall. Tug was loved by many and is survived by his three daughters and their husbands; Brenda Belle and Doug Harris, Terry Michelle and Danny Glover, Robin Sue and Robert McFarlane; four grandchildren and spouses; Charlie and Dana Bradfield, Troy and Betty Bradfield, Codie McFarlane and Lauren Stone, Rachelle and Greg Patterson; along with six wonderful great grandchildren; Chase and Brooke Bradfield, Christopher and Danielle Maki, Rowdy McFarlane, and Noah Patterson; and two great-great grandchildren, Austin Maki and Alexis Thompson.
Tug was proud that he served in the Navy from 1941 to 1945, on the U.S.S. Gwin. He was actively involved in numerous organizations throughout his life, ranging from the Saint Hedwig American Legion Post #539, East Central School Board, South Texas Jr. Girls Golf Association, Senior Olympics, Pecan Valley Country Club, Saint Hedwig Volunteer Fire Department, Woodlawn Christian Church, Windcrest Golf Club, Forty+Eight Post, Tin Can Sailors, IBEW Local 500, Bike MS - National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and many more.
Tug lived a fulfilling 91 years. He retired from CPS Energy in 1982, where he enjoyed traveling, golf, and farming.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, February 26 2016, at the Emerald Oaks Retirement Resort, 20302 Bulverde Road, San Antonio, TX 78259 with a grave side service to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, Tug's request were that donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Alzheimer's Association, or the Saint Hedwig American Legion Post #539.
