SMSgt. Ewald H. Cordes U.S. Air Force (Retired) passed away on December 27, 2011 at the age of 84. He was born on May 4, 1927 in Freyburg, Texas to Herman and Mary Cordes. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Frances D. Cordes; survived by his children, David E. Cordes, wife Cathi Jaeger-Cordes, Diana Jankowski, her friend Eddie Gonzales, Debra Cordes, Douglas Cordes and Darla Kenward; grandchildren, Beau Blanchard, Charles Kenward and Zachary Cordes; 2 great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. and the funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
