Helen "Jeri" Mays

Helen "Jeri" Mays of Universal City went to be with the Lord, our Father on her fifty seventh wedding anniversary February 15, 2015. Jeri met her husband Tony while working as a secretary to the Administrator of St. Joseph's Hospital in Fort Worth, TX where her soon to be husband worked as an intern at nearby John Peter Smith Hospital. Together, they traveled the world extensively visiting all seven continents. Her life's passion and love were devoted to her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jonce and Florence Williams; five sisters and two brothers. Survivors include her husband, Col. Anthony Mays Jr. M.D.; her children, Anthony Mays III, Kimberly Mays O'Reilly, Melissa Mays Drennan, and Robert Mays Sr.; grandchildren, Stephanie Mays, Michael Mays, and Robert Mays Jr.; her son -in-law, Robert O'Reilly, and daughter –in-law, Elizabeth Mays; and Arthur Damm. Jeri will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A visitation will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, February 20, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma. A private family entombment will follow the Mass.
