His happy, good-hearted outlook on life made him a joy to be with until the very end. Although we will dearly miss his physical presence among us, his spirit will forever live on in our hearts. The family would like to thank all those who helped care for Herbert in the final months of his life, to include extended family, friends, and staff at Silver Tree Rehabilitation Center, Esplanade Gardens, and Odyssey House Hospice. The tender, dignified care rendered to this veteran at the San Antonio Military Medical Center was also greatly appreciated.
