Jeanne Carole Morgan

Jeanne Carole Morgan, beloved mother, Nana, sister, and friend passed away at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo on September 20, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was traveling with a dear friend on a road trip celebrating their birthdays.

She was preceded in death by her parents William Baca Sr. and Dorothy Quick. Two brothers, William Baca Jr (Deborah) and James Baca (Ollie). Her first husband Jerry Keen, second husband Kenneth Morgan, and dear friend and companion Dan Neely. She is survived by her daughters, Jill Keen and Kama Helvey, grandchildren Audrie Abdallah-Lowe, Adam Abdallah, Maddison Dacus, Mason Helvey (Kristi), and Morgan Helvey. Two brothers, Matthew Baca and Paul Baca (April) and four sisters, Katheran Dreher, Theresa Spears (Larry), Patricia Waldron (Ed), and Monica Eaton (Tad). Seven great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

For the majority of her professional life she was an insurance claims underwriter, where her contributions were valued for the meticulous care she brought to her work and the bright smile she shared with everyone she met. Jeanne's zest for life was evident in her desire to travel and see new sights, and in the love and generosity she showered on family and friends. She especially enjoyed family vacations, annual beach and camping trips, and "sister" weekends. She loved spending time playing cards and dominos with family and friends.Those who knew Jeanne, remember her sometimes being a poor sport when faced with losing a game which brought laughter and lightness to the occasion. She loved to shop for a bargain and anything that glittered caught her eye. She also enjoyed her quiet time in her meditation garden, watching hummingbirds and tending to her plants.

Jeanne’s life was a beautiful tapestry of kindness, generosity, contagious laughter, and love – a legacy that will be treasured and kept alive in the hearts of all who loved her.

A rosary for Jeanne will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 16075 N Evans Rd, Selma, TX 78154. A mass will occur Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 16075 N Evans Rd, Selma, TX 78154. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery #2, 15771 I-35 N, Selma, TX 78154.
