

Joanne Tatum Biggs was born on April 8th, 1931 in Lubbock, Texas to Claude and Pauline Tatum. She later moved to San Angelo, Texas, where she attended and graduated from Central High School. Upon graduation, she married Alvin Rudolph (Rudy) Biggs from San Angelo, Texas. Joanne was a homemaker, dedicated wife, and loving mother to her 5 children, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Joanne loved all animals, and was exceptionally fond of her dogs, cats, turtles, and bearded dragon. She truly enjoyed spending time at her family property in Blanco, Texas where she was surrounded by nature, goats, dogs, cats, wildlife, and collected unique rocks and wood.
Joanne is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Alvin Rudolph Biggs, two sons, Michael (Mickey) Steven Biggs, and Alvin (Benji) Benjamin Biggs, her sister, Julia Tatum Schneeman, her brother, Claude (Bub) Tatum Jr., and her parents, Claude and Pauline Tatum. She is lovingly survived by her children, Tamara (Tammy) Biggs, Dierdre Diane (Dee Dee) Biggs Greathouse and Jon Greathouse (Son-In-Law), Jeremy Biggs and Sarah Biggs (Daughter-In-Law), her Grandchildren, Amanda Greathouse Holman and Jeremy Holman (Grandson-In-Law), Samantha Greathouse Ledoux and Wesley Ledoux (Grandson-In-Law), Tamra Greathouse Pace and Barrett Pace (Grandson-In-Law), Katherine Biggs, Emily Biggs, and Luke Biggs, her 6 great-grandsons, Bryson, Parker, and Kason Holman, Landon and Wyatt Ledoux, Oliver Pace, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joanne’s life will be celebrated with a small gathering of immediate family in Blanco, Texas, where her wish to rest peacefully under her Tree of Eternal Happiness will be granted. The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Paws Shelter of Central Texas (https://pawsshelter.org), so Joanne’s love for all animals and their wellbeing may live on.
