Josephine C. Smith passed away on May 11, 2011 at the age of 91. She was born on April 8, 1920 in Laredo, Texas to John and Anita Ward Carpenter. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband. Survived by her son, Alvin Miller, his wife Wanda; daughter, Nancy McManners, her husband Carl; sister, Tillie Montgomery; 10 Grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren; and several Nieces and Nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday May 17, 2011 from 6:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. and the funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 9:30 A.M. at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10:45 A.M.
