With full hearts, we celebrate the life of Lilian Betancourt de Reina, a woman of quiet strength, deep love, and warm presence. Born in the city of Manizales, she carried her roots with grace and dignity through every chapter of her life.

In 1968, Lilian married the love of her life, Hugo Reina. Together they shared over 55 years of marriage—a lifelong partnership built on devotion, patience, and unwavering dedication to family. They raised two children, Hiliana and Andrés, who were her greatest pride and joy.

After their children moved to the United States, Lilian and Hugo later relocated to Texas, where they spent their final years surrounded by love, laughter, and peace. In San Antonio, they lived with Hiliana and her husband Harry Penick, who cared for them with deep love and dedication. Lilian also shared many special moments and created lasting memories with Andrés and his wife Becky, enjoying the closeness and warmth of family.

She was a ray of sunshine—gentle, comforting, and full of quiet joy. Her smile sparked love in everyone she met. She found peace in her morning coffee, and now, when the sun pours through our windows or we taste that first sweet sip, may we find her there—a reminder to be strong, to keep going, and to live fully, for her.

Lilian will be remembered not only as a loving wife and devoted mother, but also as a loyal friend whose tenderness left a lasting impression. Her presence brought calm. Her love was constant. She had a quiet way of making those around her feel safe, seen, and truly loved.

She is survived by her children, Hiliana and Andrés, and her beloved grandchildren: Daniella, Natalie, Isabella, and Omar, who will carry forward her sweetness, strength, and love for family. She is also remembered by a close community of friends who became family over the years.

Though her absence is deeply felt, her spirit lives on—in every cup of coffee, in every golden morning light, and in every heart she touched.

Hoy celebramos la vida de Lilian Betancourt de Reina, una mujer de presencia serena, corazón inmenso y amor silencioso. Nació en Manizales, Colombia, y vivió con una calma que abrazaba, una sonrisa que alegraba, y una presencia que hacía sentir hogar.

En 1968 se casó con el amor de su vida, Hugo Reina, con quien compartió más de 55 años de matrimonio. Juntos formaron una familia unida, basada en el respeto, el amor y la dedicación mutua. Tuvieron dos hijos, Hiliana y Andrés, quienes fueron siempre su mayor orgullo.

Con el tiempo, sus hijos se establecieron en Estados Unidos, y Lilian y Hugo los siguieron a Texas. Allí, en San Antonio, vivieron sus últimos años rodeados del cariño de su familia, las risas compartidas y la paz de estar en casa. Pasó sus días junto a Hiliana y su esposo Harry Penick, quienes la cuidaron con todo el amor que ella siempre dio. También compartió momentos hermosos y memorias entrañables con Andrés y su esposa Becky, celebrando la vida juntos en familia.

Lilian fue un verdadero rayo de sol. Su sonrisa iluminaba los espacios y su manera de estar presente, sin alardes, tocaba el alma de quienes la rodeaban. Amaba su cafecito por las mañanas, y ahora, cuando el sol brille suave y el aroma del café llene la casa, sabremos que ella sigue con nosotros—una señal para encontrar fuerza y seguir viviendo con amor, por ella.

Le sobreviven sus hijos Hiliana y Andrés, y sus nietos adorados: Daniella, Natalie, Isabella y Omar, quienes llevarán consigo su dulzura, su ejemplo y el amor que sembró con tanto cuidado. También la recordarán para siempre amistades que con el tiempo se volvieron parte de su familia.
