Lloyd Douglas Garcia

Lloyd Douglas “Dub” Garcia, 66, passed away on April 3, 2022 in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Survivors include his daughter Kristina Garcia, granddaughter Ava Romero, parents Lloyd and Bonnie Garcia and brother Bruce “Bud” (“Bebe”) Garcia, all of San Antonio, as well as two uncles, an aunt and several cousins from the San Antonio and Dallas areas.

Dub was an All-Star baseball player at MacArthur High School and was proudly awarded Most Valuable Player his senior year. After high school, Dub studied engineering at Texas Tech University followed by Sam Houston State University. He excelled in a gratifying career as a Solidworks® Engineering draftsman, and baseball, golfing and fishing brought him great joy throughout his life.

A Celebration of Life for Dub will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 12-4pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Rd, Universal City, TX 78148. Visitation will begin at 12pm – light lunch provided – with a memorial service starting at 1:30pm.

The family welcomes memorial donations to the American Heart Association.
