Lorna Schertz Dawson

Lorna Schertz Dawson, age 101 passed away January 25, 2016. She was born February 17, 1914 in Schertz, Texas to Robert and Clara (Hoffman) Schertz. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence E. Dawson, Sr.; sons, Robert L. Dawson, John Patrick Dawson, and Charles Dawson; Survivors include her son, Lawrence E. Dawson, Jr. and wife Eva Lowe Dawson; daughter-in-law, Norma Lowe Dawson; grandchildren, Robert (Robbie) Miles, Brett Dawson (Linda), Wayde Dawson (Cynthia), Eric Dawson (Amelia), Cynthia Dawson, Nancy Galle(Doug), Richard Dawson, and Steven Dawson; great grandchildren, Mira Dawson, Daniel Dawson (Rebecca), Nicholas Dawson, Georgina Dawson, Allison Dawson, Andrew Shows (Kim), Andrea Shows, Arminda K. Shannon (Derek); great great grandchildren, Ashlyn, Bryson, and Luke Shows, Krista, Kael, and Kiera Shannon. She leaves many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. and funeral services will be Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will follow at New Braunfels Cemetery at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to the Universal City United Methodist Church or to a charity of ones choice.
