She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Stimus, and sister Beatrice Trevino.
Maria is survived by her son, Robert J. Stimus; sisters, Ceil Frazar and Connie Leetsch; half sisters, Amelia Pena and Terry Ramsower; and half brother, Johnny Joe Alaniz.
Pallbearers will be: Nolan Scott, Carl Moody, Manuel Decena, Tim Rodriguez, Ira Briggs, Caleb Swink, Shane Grobe, Alfred Garza, Jesse Wierschke, Tom Nasif, Steve Garza, Matt Rodriguez, and Richard Trevino.
Committal Service will be held from 2:00p.m.-2:30p.m. Friday, September 22, 2023 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, Shelter #1, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78209
