Marvin was born in Brooklyn, NY. on November 8th, 1933, to Sidney Liebowitz & Elsie Fishman. He served honorably in the United States Air Force for 26 years, retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant. In the 1970s Marvin was the President of European Association of American Square Dancing Clubs. He was also selected to be a Space Park Host at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York, where he explained the nation’s space program to visitors.
Marvin was an avid New York Mets fan, as well as a very talented visual storyteller. He loved the arts and found great joy in reading, music, photography, and learning about American History. He enjoyed traveling very much.
Marvin leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughters: Vicki Robinson and Sheri Sanasac; son, Scott Leibowitz; brother, Jared Liebowitz; grandson, Adam Sicard; granddaughters, Ashley Binsfeld and Ana Noel; great grandchildren, Elsie, Elodie, Ava, Gabriel, and Myriam. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Shandalow; and sister, Lois Franklin.

A committal service for Marvin will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:20 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
