Miquela Elvira Larrabee or as everybody knew her as, Mickie, was a beautiful 87 year who passed away on the early morning of 14 August 2016. She passed away in comfort at Gentiva Hospice care in San Antonio from her recent battle with multiple myeloma. Mickie was born in Banning California on 8 May 1929 to hard working Catholic parents Jesus and Dolores Macias. Mickie’s many brothers and sisters are Lulo, Nacho, Henry, Jenny, Ruben, Lupe, Joe, Jesse, Sandy, Jimmy, Dolores, Linda, Michael, Richard and finally Sylvia. Mickie attended Nellie N. Coffman Junior High School in Palm Springs CA. She worked many jobs throughout her life but her most rewarding work was at the Central Arizona Shelter Services where she helped the homeless reenter the work force. Mickie was an Air Force military wife to Ron Larrabee during their marriage from 1955 to 1992. Mickie loved to travel, she lived in Germany and Puerto Rico and visited China, Mexico and many places throughout Europe. Mickie loved to garden, go to museums and thrift shops, eat different foods and attend church. Mickie held hands in prayer with Mother Teresa during a visit to Phoenix, she may have never washed her hand since. Mickie is survived by her sons John, Mark and David, grandchildren, Sean, Richard, Allison, Katrina, Mark, Anthony, Andrew, Alyssa, and great grandchildren Chloe, Zoey, Oliver, Mason and Logan. Her Rosary was held on 21 August 2016 at Weaver Mortuary in Beaumont California. Her Service was held on 22 August 2016 at the Blessed Kateri Tekawitha Church in Banning California. She will be cremated and laid to rest near her Mother and Father at Summit Cemetery District at a date to be determined.
