

Mildred was born July 21, 1933 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of Carmen Selva and Luis Irizarry. She was preceded in death by her husband Modesto Soler. She is survived by her three children, Evelyn Davila (Jose Davila) of Atlanta, GA, Julio Morales (Dianne Love-Morales) of San Antonio, TX, and Julia Torres of Converse, TX; four grandchildren, Ciara Daughtry, Elizabeth Davila, Michael Vorhis II, Ava Love-Morales; five great-grandchildren, Marquez Davila, Mariah Davila, Hayden Vorhis, Makenna Vorhis and Jakob Daughtry; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Mildred will be fondly remembered by her loving personality of which chartered countless journeys into the hearts of many. Proud of her Puerto Rican heritage, Mildred’s vibrant soul loved to dance salsa and merengue, cook Latin food and entertain. She also loved to sing, sew, travel and shop. Her genuine kindness towards others enabled her to be well admired by multiple generations of individuals.
Mildred loved and trusted in the Lord as her savior. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Until we meet again “home sweet home”.
A visitation will be begin at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 11th at Colonial Funeral Home 625 Kitty Hawk Rd, Universal City, TX 78148. A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, May 11th at Colonial Funeral Home 625 Kitty Hawk Rd, Universal City, TX 78148. Committal Service will be held at 2:00pm on May 11th at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
